Home Based – covering UK region* Office One day per week.
Shift Pattern:
Days (8.30 – 5.00 Monday – Thursday and 8.30 – 4.30 Friday)
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Visiting potential targets with aim of gaining new business
- Route planning to maximise time efficiency
- Create visit reports and monthly sales reports
- Control forecast and attend monthly sales meetings
- Utilise sources like trade press, exhibitions, Google alerts, website enquiries and networking events
- Work with the sales team to capture leads
- Representing the organisation at trade / industry body meetings, events and exhibitions
- Follow up all new leads from website and new business desk
- Negotiate agreements / contract and prepare documentation
- Progress to initial order and develop into full Account
- Research target sectors/ emerging markets to maximise opportunities, build awareness/ reputation and gain market entry.
- Identify PR and Social Media opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to add value through embossing / decoration and outsourcing.
- Keep CRM system up to date with customer account information
- Encouraging potential targets to visit and see the process
- Monthly visibility on the factory floor
- Any other reasonable duties as requested
Person Specification
- At least 3 years commercial experience in a similar role
- Experience of dealing with customers, in a fast paced sales environment
- General business ‘working’ knowledge
- Project Management
- Commercial Awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Negotiation skills/Confidence/Listening skills/Problem solving skills/Interpersonal skills
- Experience of Sales Environment within a manufacturing setting (desirable)
- Glass industry experience (desirable)
- GCSE / O Level English & Maths (Good numeracy/literacy)
- Business Qualification – A-Level Business studies/HNC Business (desirable)
- Any other relevant business qualifications which proves a level of attainment
- PC literate
