We’re excited to announce a new partnership which will help raise even more money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice this Christmas!
Our Marketing Manager Charlotte Pike visited Eco-Power Wood Fuels in Retford with some of our friends from the hospice to discuss the new partnership.
Every year we support Bluebell Wood with its Christmas tree recycling campaign, which last Christmas raised over £30,000 for the hospice by collecting 1,500 real Christmas trees from homes across Doncaster, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster and Worksop.
For the first time this year, the recycled trees will be taken to Eco Power Wood Fuels to be recycled into pellets to generate electricity.
Eco Power uses a very sustainable system which is zero waste in operation – effectively a closed loop just like our glass manufacturing and recycling system!
